Norfolk & Western Railroad Caboose #555020

This caboose was built by the International Car Company of Kenton, Ohio in 1976 for the Norfolk and Western Railway (N&W). This C-32P class caboose was used exclusively for the railway’s Canadian operations in Southern Ontario. It was a frequent visitor to St. Thomas.
In 1990, the Norfolk and Western Railway merged with the Southern Railway which formed Norfolk Southern. However, this caboose kept its N&W livery until its retirement in 1998. Norfolk Southern donated #555020 in 1998 to the Elgin County Railway Museum.
